IDEA 1

Setting-A large, spacious abandoned factory and warehouse.

Plot- A man (protagonist) wakes up in the boot of a car taped up with duck tape being drip fed poison, he manages to escape out of the car and sees his girlfriend on the factory rooftop (who has been missing for 6 months) being held at gunpoint. He is very disorientated as he has poison in his body, but sees somebody chasing him in the distance with a gun, he goes running into the warehouse and gets to the factory rooftop and is involved in an intense fight scene, he manages to rescue his girlfriend, but she is actually part of a secret organisation and ends up knocking him of the roof, knocking him unconscious.

Title- Death at First Sight

Characters- Male protagonist
                    Two male members of the organisation
                    Girlfriend (antagonist)

Props- Guns, Fake drip, Car. Items such as cardboard boxes, trolleys and fake stock will be used in the warehouse to create more tension and excitement in the chase scene and add a bit of action which is common to have in most thrillers.

Possible Camera Shot Ideas- Extreme long shot and low angled shot to show the rooftop scene from the ground. Crane shot from the rooftop looking down at the car escape and chase scene into the warehouse. POV and freehand shots during the chase scene to make the audience feel involved and directly in the positions of the characters.

Costumes- Fake stab vests for the villains showing that there used to combat as this is typical of the antagonists in thriller films. Lots of black for the villains to give clear negative connotations of evil.

Editing- Editing will be fast paced to enable the audience to keep up with the action, and to make the transition of falling of the roof smooth there will be a fade out/in after he is knocked out.

Sound- The music at the start will be very fast paced and dramatic as thats a typical convention of a thriller film and will signify the genre to the audience immediately. It will then fade to a more suspense related track, possibly a heartbeat whilst the protagonist is trying to remove the poison as it will help to signify that his life is on the line.
